Lewes student Daniel Bradford strikes gold

Lewes Old Grammar School (LOGS) student Daniel Bradford won another 1st place trophy at the British Schools Gymnastics Association’s (BSGA) Trampoline Regional first round on Sunday.

Daniel, age 13, has enjoyed an unprecedented streak of sporting success, after also winning four medals at the 2017 Trampoline Tumbling & DMT English Championships in November.

The budding trampolinist’s latest success means that he qualifies for the Southern Zonal Round on 28th January 2018, which will be held again at the Rebound Centre, Gillingham.

Daniel said: “I was so excited to win this award, as it means I can progress to the next round of competitions early next year. I’m really grateful to my coach, the school, and my family for cheering me on to get this far. I can’t wait to hopefully win more gold medals soon.”

Murray Heywood, Head of PE and Games at LOGS, added: “It’s very clear to us that Daniel is a very talented young athlete. People often make the mistake of thinking that talents come easy, but we know that Daniel’s successes are the result of intense training and hard work. We’re really proud and wish him the best as he prepares to compete again in January.”
